Mrs. Thomas

I am part teacher, part performer...in my 4th grade classroom, that is. My family includes my husband, Stephen, our son, Silas, and our apple-loving dog, Gertie. Aside from my family and being a teacher, of course, some of my favorite things are…houseplants, fresh flowers, iced lattes, naps, chips & salsa, the color yellow, and the smell of citrus-y candles!

I have always lived in Habersham County where I graduated from Habersham Central High School (GO RAIDERS!) and was named the Habersham County Teacher of the Year in 2020. I graduated with a dual Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood and Special Education from The University of North Georgia in Dahlonega and I completed my Master’s Degree in Early Childhood Education at Piedmont College. I also have Endorsements in Gifted Education and Reading.

Creating a cozy classroom environment where students feel supported, comfortable and “at home,” is one of my favorite things about being a teacher. I look forward to getting to know you!
