Mrs. Thomas

I am part teacher, part performer...in my 4th grade classroom, that is. My family includes my husband, Stephen, and our precious little boy, Silas. I absolutely love being a boy mom and spending time with my little family.

In my free time, I like to make pottery! It's a hobby I started about 2 years ago and I love creating one of a kind pieces. I also consider myself to be a professional bookworm.

I have always lived in Habersham County where I graduated from Habersham Central High School (GO RAIDERS!) and was named the Habersham County Teacher of the Year in 2020. I graduated with a dual Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood and Special Education from The University of North Georgia in Dahlonega and I completed my Master’s Degree in Early Childhood Education at Piedmont College. I also have Endorsements in Gifted Education and Reading.

This is my 11th year teaching and creating a cozy classroom environment where students feel supported, comfortable and “at home,” is one of my favorite things about being a teacher. I look forward to getting to know you!
